Billed as 'COUNTRY MUSIC WITH DRIVE' these professional musicians have broad appeal, bringing enthusiastic devotees of all ages to their venues, as well as to the dance floor. The DAKOTAS smoothly blends traditional country, rock-a-billy and early rock music. Their sets include crowd requests, all your favorites and an original song or two. Based in Mesa, AZ the DAKOTAS! band has been playing all over the Valley for over 15 years. They've been the Saturday house band at AJ's Hitching Post for several years.

 

BASS GUITAR:  ANGIE SENGER

Senger is a nationally recognized, award winning singer, song writer, and recording artist. Angie is a member of the AZ Country Music Hall of Fame, the National Traditional Country Music Hall of Fame and has been regularly featured on Nashville's RFD-TV for over 17 years.

 

LEAD GUITAR:  JIM WEST

Soon after WEST joined the Desert Wind Band, they landed the job as full-time HOUSE BAND at Bullocks Cocktail Lounge in Phoenix for many years.  He also was the Lead Guitar player at the Prescott Opry.  He was inducted into the prestigious Arizona Country Music Hall of Fame and took his band all over Arizona. Now the Jim West guitar stylings can be enjoyed wherever the DAKOTAS are performing.

DRUMS: TODD LEICHMAN

Todd Leichtman played in with numerous “A”-list bands at all the venues in and around Phoenix, and Nashville.  Keeping his day job kept him grounded, and he found he loved playing locally with all the talented musicians who kept him busy.  He finally has found his HOME with Angie and the DAKOTAS!
